Doom Candy

Home again Follow me down to the road Which never seems to end You've never been so far away from me You will stay And when you feel That all is real Convince yourself Tonight we ride There’s nowhere to hide Perception, deception A new direction You’ve never liked The life that you have led Has it ever crossed your mind To leave it behind in the shed
2.
Aloof, I roam in your head You’ll never be alone at night Can you hear me when I say It is not a game to play When you try to read my mind Ah yeah Controlled by you I’m on the verge of insanity Inside of me But when I’m on my own My cracks will start to show A dose of reality Ah yeah I’ll see you again, my love I know you’ll find your way You’re far too beautiful For this game of give and take

Please please please don’t take the turn I can’t keep up The tracks are burned You can’t afford to turn away anymore Farther away than anything I’ve ever known Taken away before the truth was ever shown Gaze upon the pink and blue fluorescent Sunset that we disappear beyond And come out over here I’ll find a way through Even if it might be breaking time And when I get there I’ll put it back in line You can’t afford to turn away anymore Farther away than anything I’ve ever known Taken away before the truth was ever shown I fall apart inside myself I can’t control anyone else

I’ve never feared away from truth And I never thought too soon No one ever yells Did it for myself and not for us You’re looking for proof I will never rest again, alone Your eyes stop time In sync with mine I’ve never fought the truth (It’s because) and I can’t fall away from you I’ve never fought the truth (It’s because) and I can’t fall for you You’re all alone A place to call your home It’s no surprise The wool is over your eyes Don’t delay Oh please, can’t you stay
7.
Cannot feel my eyes and I can never make them stick To another focal point It’s just another trick Cannot make myself Love you when you’re there I can’t tell you You’re the reason why Call now, don’t delay Click it, ship it, on its way Data corrupted, we’re standing by Five easy payments You’re inside my mind This time You’re inside my mind It’s not hard to find You ran away You never felt something that left you in this place Inside my mind Can’t you see I’m not free
8.
I could never laugh out loud at the time I’ve spent Trying to find a way for us to part Take me to a peaceful place, so I can repent A cover-up for my imprisoned heart Only heaven knows Where the memories go Stacked up for your next life Never found a way To show you that I could try To look inside a little deeper still You will see that we might find The right time to part The violence in your heart We might have the right path From the start The violence in your heart As much as mine I would never laugh out loud And I know Maybe you still know Where we used to go When the day turned to night

about

Fuzzle is the moniker of Sean Skifstrom and Eric Fransen – two lifelong musicians and childhood friends that reconnected during the 2020 global pandemic and started making music together.

Recorded fully remotely between Phoenix, AZ, and Redondo Beach, CA where Eric and Sean currently reside, Doom Candy is a love letter to the 1980s – an equal-parts synthwave and alternative rock mixtape that will transport you back to the best decade ever.

“We both grew up in the 80s and have come to obsess over the sound of that era – especially new wave bands like Depeche Mode, DEVO, A Flock of Seagulls, and Pet Shop Boys,” says Fransen. “The synth leads, vocal harmonies, drum machines, and all of the reverb. It was a magical time for music and something we channeled when writing the songs on Doom Candy.”

The nine-track album clocks in at 30 minutes of all-new material, ranging from the new wave punk pop of “Inside My Mind,” to a high-energy synthwave cover of Nirvana’s “Heart-Shaped Box,” and a sprawling, darkwave instrumental overture with “Theme from ‘Doom Candy.’”
